While ruffles, feathers, sequins, sporty chic and pastels, exotic shades of aqua, orange and hot pink adorned the ensembles at Paris, Milan and London Fashion Weeks, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’15 showcased similar trends.

1. Colors

Eclectic mix of understated vivid hues, soft pastels and nature-inspired neutral shades are going to take center stage this season. From classic blue, browns, tangerine, to aquamarine, the color trends will have myriad of variety. Nachiket Barve’s display of tangerine and classic blue outfits at WIFW 2015 were well received.

Tinted PastelsColor palette is going to be dominated by tinted pastels. We were mesmerised by Atsu Sekhose’s S/S ’15 collection featuring pastel hues.

OrangeOrange is going to be the new black in the upcoming season. Get ready to witness shades of tangerine and coral, to crimson. Anupamaa Dayal‘s S/S ’15 highlights shades of orange.

White: Samant Chauhan and Wendell Rodricks showcased all white silhouettes with embroidery in their own distinct style.

2. Fabrics

Silks: Besides soft fabrics, this traditional fabric is going to rule the fabric charts in Spring/Summer 2015. Payal Singhal‘s S/S ’15 is our favorite.

Sheer: Samant Chauhan and Rabani & Rakha‘s beautiful representation of sheer fabric created a gorgeous look. From chiffon saris, net lenghas to maxi dresses ensembles were high on sheer with multiple layers of light and soft fabrics at S/S ’15.

3. Embroidery & Embellishments

Mirror Work, Sequins, Applique work, resham embroidery and Chintz inspired prints are trending at Spring/Summer 2015. We adore mirror work by Dev r Niland Gauri and Nainika’s floral applique embroidery. In addition, Joy Mitra‘s zardozi embellishments and Rohit Bal’s floral embroidery is to die for!

10. Jewelry & Accessories

Spring/Summer 2015 is all about minimalism, saying that one can’t ignore the bling of jewelry. While last year nose ring ruled the jewelry trend, this year make way for stunning waist belts, maatha patti and quirky headgears. Alpana Neeraj’s show witnessed chic bow head gears and ribbon belts that elevated the styling factor. While Eka by Rina Singh completed her summer looks with lovely head gears and sporty shoes. We love the styling at Masaba and Aneeth Arora’s shows!
